Being a Supporter of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation means being a part of a cultural project aimed at enhancing, conserving and communicating the World Heritage Site

Supporters

In order to ensure the participation of all those with a stake in the management of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and to develop a shared understanding of the sustainable development of the property, the Foundation has set up a Board of Supporters. Potential supporters must meet the requirements set out in the specific set of rules, including meeting the location criteria and sharing the Foundation’s goals. Supporters are automatically allowed to use the UNESCO Dolomites trademark (a special version), access the NING platform and use the UNESCO Dolomites news feed.

NING, the supporters’ platform

It is vital for the Foundation to involve all our Supporters as closely as possible. With their roots firmly planted in all valleys of the Dolomites they are an invaluable source of news and ideas, the ideal link between the Foundation and the local communities. So if we can’t always get together in person, now there’s the web.

The platform www.fondazionedolomitiunesco.ning.com is a virtual space reserved for our Supporters with the aim of facilitating their participation in the various activities of the Foundation’s operating networks.

The members of this community can create new threads and take part in the discussions already underway with input also from the operating network representatives. The content of the platform focuses on the shared interests of all those involved in the Dolomites World Heritage Site. Each Supporter is asked to create their own personal profile and explain why they are supporting Fondazione Dolomiti UNESCO.
