Just two days from the opening of Expo 2015, the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation and AIT Dolomiti, the tourist information agency set up by Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti, have signed a media partnership agreement to promote all the initiatives scheduled during the global showcase taking place in Milan from 1 May to 31 October.
“The aim of this agreement” explains Lorraine Berton, communications and internationalisation spokesperson for Confindustria Belluno Dolomiti, “is to provide an all-round service and to ensure effective communication of all the events organised by the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation in connection with Expo. This international exhibition offers a unique, unrepeatable opportunity to raise the profile of the world’s most beautiful mountains. This strategic partnership will also benefit the action campaigns we have launched with all the other trade associations because promoting our territory inevitably means placing the Dolomites World Heritage Site centre-stage. The Foundation’s support therefore provides vital added value, demonstrating that where there’s a will there is also a way to make our province get organised in deed as well as in word”.
According to Marcella Morandini, General Secretary of the Foundation, “In AIT we have found an excellent partner whose professional expertise will add value to all the initiatives we are launching during Expo to promote the Dolomites World Heritage Site on both a national and international scale. I would also like to say how pleased I am to see the Foundation involved in a project that brings together all of Belluno’s economic players with the support of the provincial authority and the consortium of municipalities”.
