The exhibition Il Sacro nelle Dolomiti (the Religious Life of the Dolomites) uses exhibits, images and words, to delve into the role of religion in the Dolomites.
The gradual break-up of the economy based on farming, pasturing and woodland resources, a process that began after the Second World War, has transformed a cultural heritage once largely shared and in which religion played a LEADING
role.
The exhibition focuses on the manifestation of religious sentiment in the most important stages in this rural life-cycle.
