“Single management of the UNESCO Dolomites: utopia or reality?”
This is the subject of the debate scheduled for Friday 29 April at 6.00 pm during the Trento Film Festival, an important Supporter of the UNESCO Dolomites Foundation.
The meeting, moderated by journalist and RAI radio presenter Giorgio Zanchini, will be held at the Fondazione FBK (former Church of Santa Chiara) and will be attended by local councillors from the provinces and regions belonging to the UNESCO Dolomites Property.
Pushing back regional boundaries for multi-level governance of the Dolomites. Combining political vision and action through a single management plan, this, in a nutshell, is the strategy of the UNESCO Dolomites. The running of this unique natural property – a task shared between the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano, the provinces of Belluno, Pordenone and Udine, the Veneto Region and the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia – has become an example of what can be achieved between different local authorities. And politics play a decisive part.
